Civil Department

The civil department team is made up of director Richard Adams, who also practices criminal law, assisted by trainee solicitors and paralegals.

We are able to assist in a variety of matters, such as:
  • Personal injury;
  • Injunctions;
  • Boundary disputes and problems relating to land;
  • Landlord and tenant litigation;
  • Consumer and debt issues;
  • Claims under a deceased person’s estate;
  • Complaints against the police.

We also specialise in housing law. This is where you may be in danger of losing your home, either following an eviction notice from your landlord or because the building society or other lender is taking possession proceedings.

We hold a Legal Services Commission franchise in relation to housing law, and can advise you if you will be eligible to make an application for a public funding certificate to assist with paying for your case.

In relation to personal injury work, we can assist if you have been injured in a road traffic accident and a variety of other incidents. We are able to undertake cases upon a no-win-no-fee basis, subject to certain conditions.

If you feel you have a case where we may be able to assist, we would welcome you contacting us for an initial discussion.
